Dear Mr Strand,

The position of Network Engineer was of particular interest to me. I wish to apply for the vacancy and submit my details for your consideration.

I have held network engineering positions over the past five years and am currently completing a data center migration project that included the design and implementation of all the network hardware. This included a highly available network design with Cisco 6500 series switches and ASR routers at the core utilizing MPLS technology for agility and flexibility.

My previous employment experiences have included both Government and private corporations on projects that have invested between $100K and $2.1M in telecommunications expenditure. I have also worked extensively with business analysts and project managers in order to correctly scope and forecast project activities. The forecasts have proven to be accurate within the tolerance margins in all cases and I am confident I can reuse this experience with the same results on future projects.

To complement my technical experience I have also completed the Cisco CCIE certification and have some experience with Alcatel and Juniper equipment. I have also been involved with several tender processes both as the customer and as the supplier.
