Duties
[Suggest Edit]- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for the {Oracle, SQL or other Vendor} database
- Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance
- Perform health checks to ensure the integrity of the schema and the data
- Perform health checks to ensure the synchronization of database replicas
- Liaise with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex application performance analysis
- Develop and maintain the database architecture
- Develop and maintain the appropriate operational documentation for databases
- Plan and execute data conversions, data structures and migrations
- Ensure the accuracy, performance and consistency of the database information
- Oversee database capacity planning, forecasting, and tuning
- Manage database security and control access permissions and privileges
- Respond to health alerts and produce maintenance plans and scripts
- Manage release life cycles including development and production environments
