IT Security Consultant Cover Letter

I am interested in applying for the position of Security Consultant which was advertised in the 6 April edition of the IT Pathways News.
Specializing in cryptography and wireless network penetration testing I have worked in the Operational Security Section of Engineering Firm X for over six years. Concerned mainly with technical security measures my position as Principal Security Consultant requires communication at all levels as well as expert level technical security skills on networks, firewalls and operating systems.
During my time at Engineering Firm X I have developed a number of enterprise standards including Wireless encryption & authentication standards and Standard Operating Environment patch level management and reporting.
I have responded to several critical threats during my time in the organization. My response to one of these threats was subsequently acknowledged at a Company awards night by the CEO.
